Module Integration Engineer

As a Module Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration of a select group of steps within FEOL, MOL, or BEOL modules for all tech nodes produced at Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS). In this role within the Yield Enhancement organization, you will own all module‑related aspects of these steps, focusing on deriving solutions for technology systematics and driving process enhancements to improve yield, quality, and cost competitiveness.

• Owning Module Integration for a specific group of steps within the process flow.
• Managing all systematic defect and device/parametric yield issues for these steps.
• Leading projects to cure systematics from the technology and/or improve detection for them.
• Managing critical dimension targeting and variation control within the module.
• Reviewing yield, cost, and throughput related process changes across the factory at the Change Control Board.
• Providing yield risk assessment and failure modeling for factory incidents at the Material Review Board.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Process/Module Integration or Yield Engineering in semiconductor manufacturing.
• 10+ years of experience and/or FINFET experience highly preferred.
• Advanced understanding of overall process flow in assigned areas, with demonstrated understanding of interactions between process and yield, product performance, and reliability.
• Prior knowledge of fab unit processes (including lithography, etch, diffusion, thin film deposition, wet cleans, CMP, etc.) highly preferred.
• Expertise in project management, DOE generation and analysis.
• Expertise in data analysis software (e.g., JMP, Spotfire, etc.).

The current base salary range for this role is between $83,000 and $206,000. Compensation will also include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs based on organizational and individual performance.
