Sr. Manufacture Process Quality Engineer, AWS Hardware Engineering - Manufacturing

Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to operate in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing, multi‑platform international manufacturing environment. The role requires the engineer to serve as a technical contact, take full ownership of manufacturing launches, and resolve process issues to bring production up and running. The engineer will work closely with ODMs, CMs, AWS hardware and software teams, and upstream component vendors to monitor and improve incoming hardware quality, from design phase to early‑life product failures.

• Lead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers (CM), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and vendors.
• Provide hands‑on technical support during new product introductions and launches.
• Evaluate and optimize product designs for quality assurance and manufacturing efficiency of servers and rack systems.
• Investigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root‑cause analysis.
• Support global operations with regular domestic and international travel (25‑50% of time).

• 5+ years of high‑volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or high‑tech hardware.
• 5+ years of product development experience.

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.
