Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will work on the most challenging problems in infrastructure for thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

• Lead engineering due diligence for new and expanding regions, site master planning, and overall site design strategy.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Risk and Resiliency, Power, Water, Fiber, Environmental, Pre‑Construction and related teams on global design strategy implementation.
• Assist in data center site selection, review due diligence reports, lead site planning and development, and play a pivotal role in the delivery of data center designs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders during the due diligence phase to ensure design requirements are considered.
• Oversee pre‑design phase, manage internal partners and external vendor consultants, ensuring design‑ready deliverables are completed for design execution.
• Rollout strategy of new data center design types and impacts on site master plans.
• Provide engineering design decisions to partner teams for strategic planning and region selection.
• Work with DCE teams developing new data center infrastructure products and design execution disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, architects) to assess deployment for site projects.
• Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographic regions.
• Escalate issues and communicate clearly to leadership and technical teams.

Travel will occasionally be necessary but not more than 25%. International support will be part of the job.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission‑critical facilities such as data centers, power generation or oil and gas.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Professional Engineer License.
• Knowledge of continuously operating redundant electrical systems, cooling systems, airflow containment systems, and building management systems.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually, with additional sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
