Job Overview

$22 - $26 per hour – Hiring NOW for Weekends, Days, Swing, and Weekdays. Differential paid. Manufacturing Technicians and Engineering Techs needed for an 18‑month contract with the leading manufacturer of ion implanters worldwide, located in Austin, Texas.

Relevant work experience required. Must be comfortable with hands‑on work.

• 2+ years of experience in testing and troubleshooting assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems, design circuitry, and prototype modeling.
• Ability to troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Perform routine to moderately complex electro‑mechanical technical functions such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Operate on experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Assist with new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting.
• Compile logbooks and test procedures, documenting results with good writing skills.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on company platforms to meet engineering and manufacturing documentation and specifications.
• Become familiar with current manufacturing and/or engineering processes, stay informed of procedural changes, and assist in correcting problems.
• Perform rework as a result of testing.
