Amazon Web Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to become part of a global engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation of our rapidly expanding data center footprint.

Engineers at Amazon design resilient, cost‑effective electrical distribution systems to support our data centers. The role focuses on achieving world‑class uptime for customers and driving continuous improvements. A key leader in technical decisions, you will collaborate across teams and deliver high quality designs.

• Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create construction document sets.
• Create designs that meet quality and budget requirements.
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
• Work with commissioning teams to test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
• Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
• Travel to sites for reviews and work with onsite field engineers, providing engineering evaluations, audits, and startup as needed.

• 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities such as data centers, power generation or oil and gas.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
• United States Citizenship.

• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ annually, and the total compensation includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
