Position SummarySamsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for an energetic Safety Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and a commitment to identifying risks that support safety programs at one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States.
Role and Responsibilities- Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.
- Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; advise and educate others.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
- Evaluate task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
- Document and track results to support safety program elements.
- Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, root cause analyses, and determine corrective actions.
- Conduct employee training on site safety requirements.
- Lead monthly meetings with the safety sub‑committee.
- Review and audit pre‑task plans, site risk analyses, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with daily management of the tiered auditing program, including closure of facility’s preventative and corrective action plans.
- 7+ years of experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks.
- Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines.
- Preferred experience in a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a team.
The base salary range for this role is between $76,000 and $145,000, based on duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation may also include participation in company incentive compensation programs that are based on organizational and individual performance.
