We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Staff Systems Design Engineer to join our team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD s products, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD s abilities to deliver high-quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering team fosters continuous technical innovation and supports career development.

As a lead engineer in Systems Design Engineering, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. In this high-visibility role, your hardware and firmware systems engineering expertise will support product development, root cause analysis, and resolution. Daily activities include post-silicon validation and triage/debug for EPYC and other AMD products.

• Driving technical innovation to improve AMD s capabilities across validation, including tool and script development, methodology enhancement, and cross-functional technical initiatives
• Debugging issues found during the process, including bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs
• Collaborating with multiple teams to develop test plans and perform execution to ensure features are validated and optimized on time
• Working closely with supporting technical teams
• Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks
• Leading complex debug efforts for silicon findings to identify root cause and resolution

• Several years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation roles involving debugging OS, firmware, silicon, and SoC/Platform hardware issues
• Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debugging, and validation strategy
• Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
• Strong customer focus; experience with one of AMD s customer validation teams is a plus
• Experience using automation frameworks for execution is a plus
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Clear communication skills - written and verbal
• Must be a self-starter and able to independently drive tasks to completion

• Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
