Overview
Manufacturing Test Engineer – on site in Austin, Texas. Reports to the Operations Manager. Supports the design, deployment, and maintenance of production test systems in Operations. Performs technical, multi-disciplinary work to improve manufacturing quality, performance, and throughput, and acts as a liaison between Operations and R&D.
Responsibilities- Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of production test systems.
- Troubleshoot test stand issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Product Management, and cross-functional teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using VES Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Support new product introduction and transfer from R&D to Operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience designing, deploying, or supporting production test systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, with the ability to read PCBA schematic diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and test-system issues.
- Experience with automated testing and test equipment used in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality and process control tools (e.g., pFMEA, Gauge R&R).
- Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Familiarity with test software design.
- Familiarity with PCBA design principles and design-for-test (DFT) concepts.
- Experience using bench test equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, and source measurement units.
- Experience with mechanical engineering tools, CAD, or related software.

The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 USD per year, with a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off and 401(k) for eligible employees.
