Overview
As a Senior Design PM of New Technology Introduction, you will own the design for maintainability and serviceability of new Fulfillment Centers across the Amazon network. You will engage customers to understand and document business requirements, drive problem solutions, and manage implementation programs. You will balance business needs with technical constraints, striving to find the right solution for each customer while maintaining standards, scalability and supportability.
You will implement technical approaches and direct cross-functional efforts to meet timelines. You will frequently travel to various Fulfillment Center locations to perform design audits and drive long-term improvements to the design of future Fulfillment centers.
- Lead optimization of mechanical system designs within budget, coordinating across disciplines and managing trade-offs
- Direct 3D modeling efforts and clash detection management across the project portfolio
- Review and approve 2D installation layout drawings
- Validate spatial analysis of clearance envelopes, egress pathways, etc. across projects
- Provide direction on engineering of custom parts needed for non-standard design applications
- Ensure maintenance and safety standards are applied consistently across all projects
- Ensure all engineering decisions are properly documented through design plans, complete installation files, and engineering instructions
- Resolve escalated technical issues from junior engineers
- Travel to sites as needed to conduct audits, resolve complex issues, and support teams
- Develop engineering team capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
The RME NTI team manages the introduction of new equipment into the maintenance engineering teams portfolio. We aim to improve the reliability and maintainability of new equipment being introduced into our fulfillment network.
Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects experience
- 3+ years of experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 6+ years of Amazon RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) experience
- Master’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- Experience in Amazon RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering), fulfillment operations, or automation deployment environments
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
