We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, integration, and troubleshooting of electronic systems for advanced electromechanical products. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with PCB assembly, soldering, cable fabrication, and electronic diagnostics, along with a strong understanding of electrical schematics and laboratory test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, solder, and rework through-hole and surface-mount components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Fabricate, terminate, and test cables, wiring harnesses, and electrical assemblies.
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic circuits and assemblies.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment to diagnose system issues.
- Support engineers with prototype builds, system integration, validation testing, and production activities.
- Document test results, repairs, engineering changes, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain compliance with quality, ESD, and safety standards throughout assembly and testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Proficiency in through-hole and surface-mount soldering and PCB rework.
- Experience building cables, wiring harnesses, and connector assemblies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with analog and digital electronic circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting prototype development and low-volume production builds.
- Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620).
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, robotics, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
