Sr. RF Engineer

Job Summary

RF Design Engineer II – Airborne Antenna Design Department, Raytheon RF & Microelectronics Center, McKinney, TX. 1st shift, fully on‑site.

U.S. citizenship required. An active Secret DoD security clearance is mandatory and must be maintained from day one.

• Design, develop, and sustain state‑of‑the‑art transmit/receive microwave products (modules, TRIMMs, planar arrays, etc.).
• Implement best practice standards for microwave design and testing, ensuring sound engineering processes and leadership.
• Interface with factory, program, and customer personnel to implement design improvements.
• Support factory troubleshooting, analyze product defect trends, and implement process/product improvements aligned with production needs.

• Minimum of a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in RF/microwave engineering.
• Experience with transmit/receive functions across a large frequency range (MHz through Ka‑band).
• Proficiency with data analysis using MATLAB.
• Preferred: MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in RF/microwave design verification test (using network/spectrum analyzers and/or antenna measurement systems).
• Hands‑on experience with Keysight ADS and Mentor Graphics Xpedition design software.
• Knowledge of PWB and CCA processes for hybrid designs incorporating digital, power, and RF circuitry.
• Experience developing and verifying engineering RF requirements.
• Strong communication skills, including interfacing with technical engineers, production personnel, and presenting to upper‑level management.

• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD (estimates based on experience).
