Position: 2026 Raytheon Full Time - Systems Engineer II – McKinney, TX (Onsite)

The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&T

C) Center seeks talented Systems Engineers. Our team located in North Texas (Plano and/or McKinney) integrates hardware and software, develops test plans and procedures, debugs and evaluates system functions and interfaces, and verifies system requirements in support of final sell‑off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time.

Every day presents a new set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.

What You Will Do
  • Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Troubleshoot Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a Depot facility.
  • Provide travel support as needed (not expected to exceed 20%).
  • Support qualification of our products.
  • Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root‑cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment.
  • Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools such as MATLAB.
  • Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
  • Support engineering support activities related to test and troubleshooting of hardware.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement minor design changes.
  • Maintain engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Maintain engineering databases.
  • Coordinate engineering tag‑up and meetings between the Program, System Engineering, and Chief Engineer.
  • Resolve and coordinate system technical solutions with Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Engineering Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs).
  • Participate in periodic team meetings, interface teleconference meetings, and working group meetings.
  • Support implementation of process requirements.
  • Support mock‑up hardware repairs.
  • Sustainment/Depot returns and repairs.
Qualifications (Must Have)
  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, MATLAB, or Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, including use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with radar or RF engineering.
  • Experience using telemetry data‑collection equipment to capture real‑time data and/or real‑time monitoring.
  • Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols.
  • Experience reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred.
  • Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including scripting or automation for data collection and analysis.
