Here’s The Role
Are you prepared to lead a diverse team and advance the reliability and resiliency of vital transmission and substation assets? At LCRA, we are looking for an experienced Director, Transmission Assets Development to manage and direct all aspects of developing and planning asset reliability and resiliency projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance the critical infrastructure of the Texans we serve!
HowYou’ll Contribute
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Develop and put into action policies, processes, methods, procedures, and guidelines to optimize assets.
- Ensure alignment with all reliability and resiliency regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Lead and provide technical direction for transmission project development activities.
- Direct overall activities of staff preparing and managing the T&D interconnection agreements and related contracts.
- Manage and improve LCRA Transmission Services Corp. (TSC) substation delivery and telecom planning criteria.
- Coordinate asset planning and deployment assessments to support reliability and resilience initiatives.
- Twelve years of experience in engineering, transmission asset management, project development, power systems analysis or other relevant experience, including at least five years of leadership responsibility.
- A degree(s) in math, computer science, engineering, or related field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license.
- Demonstrated leadership background in transmission asset development and management or engineering.
- Comprehensive understanding of NERC, ERCOT, and PUCT standards and requirements.
- Strong background and understanding of regulated electric service tariffs and interconnection agreements.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Outstanding technical knowledge of transmission asset reliability planning or engineering.
