Rack Deployment Lead
The Rack Deployment Lead will own building- and campus-level rack deployment execution for large-scale data center projects, driving day-to-day readiness, schedule coordination, installation execution, energization preparation, issue resolution, KPI reporting, and handoff activities. This person will operate as the main execution lead across rack deployment work streams, coordinating with construction, commissioning, facilities operations, engineering, network, compute, logistics, security, vendors, and installation teams to keep deployments aligned to milestone dates and capacity commitments.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable working within one of the following locations:
Abilene, TX, Shackelford, TX, Saline, MI, Port Washington, WI, or Las Cruces, NM. Relocation assistance will be provided for selected out-of-market individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead rack deployment planning and execution from readiness through installation, validation, energization preparation, and turnover.
- Own building-level schedules, milestone tracking, action registers, blocker logs, risk escalation, and deployment status reporting.
- Validate rack deployment prerequisites, including space readiness, access, cabinet layouts, pathway readiness, materials, tooling, safety requirements, network readiness, and site support needs.
- Coordinate across construction, data center facilities operations, engineering, commissioning, network, compute, logistics, security, vendors, and field teams to remove blockers and maintain deployment velocity.
- Track KPIs such as schedule adherence, deployment velocity, installation quality, first-pass success, rework trends, blocker aging, access readiness, and handoff readiness.
