Mechanical Drafter

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter to support the development systems by creating detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and engineering documentation. This role will help translate engineering concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs while supporting product development, prototyping, and cross-functional engineering efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Create and revise mechanical drawings, 3D models, and assemblies using Solid Works.
• Develop and maintain drawing packages, BOMs, and part libraries.
• Convert engineering concepts into clear, manufacturing-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and embedded teams to ensure system integration.
• Support design revisions, prototyping, documentation updates, and production efforts.
• Apply GD&T, tolerancing practices, and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
• Maintain engineering documentation and support fabrication and assembly teams with design issues.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency with Solid Works modeling and drafting.
• Familiarity with GD&T, mechanical tolerancing, and drafting standards.
• Understanding of mechanical assemblies, fasteners, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering concepts and create accurate technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Experience with defense, aerospace, robotics, or industrial hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with prototype builds or rapid prototyping.
• Familiarity with PLM tools and configuration management systems.
• Experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
• Startup or high-growth engineering experience.
