Job Description
Senior Project Manager with experience managing water and wastewater projects for CDM Smith in the Central Texas region. Responsible for planning, design, scope, schedule, budget, and quality control of municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment and pump station projects in the greater Austin area.
Responsibilities- Lead project management of major municipal water & wastewater projects.
- Provide technical guidance and senior leadership to engineering staff.
- Develop and monitor scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control of key deliverables.
- Assist Client Service Leaders with technical marketing, including proposals and client meetings.
- Participate in professional societies relevant to the industry.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 13 years of related experience.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire or promotion).
- Domestic/international travel may be required; frequency depends on project demands.
- Equivalent additional related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering or related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- Experience managing design projects for municipal drinking water, wastewater, and/or pump stations in TX.
- Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.
- Business development experience, including proposal preparation and fee estimation.
- Experience with project management methodology, budget development, and project planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of project goals, risks, and opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle many requests and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and project management software.
- Superior organizational skills.
10% or less.
