Chief Engineer

As Chief Engineer at White Lodging, you will lead all engineering and maintenance operations for a premium-branded hotel. You'll manage a team responsible for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, and building systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and guest-ready facilities. You will develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs, coordinate vendors and capital projects, control energy and repair budgets, and maintain detailed compliance and inspection records.

Partnering closely with hotel leadership, you'll champion a people-first, service-focused culture while driving continuous improvement and asset protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and schedule the engineering and maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient hotel operations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for guestrooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Manage life-safety, fire protection, and emergency systems in compliance with brand and local regulations.
• Coordinate vendor work, secure bids, and supervise contractors for capital and repair projects.
• Monitor building management systems, energy use, and utilities to control costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and asset inventories.
• Ensure guestrooms and public spaces meet brand standards through regular inspections and timely repairs.
• Support renovation and improvement projects, ensuring minimal impact on guests and operations.
• Foster a safety-first, service-focused culture aligned with White Lodging's values and guest expectations.
