As a Systems Engineer, you’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem‑solving is essential as you collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems.

- This role sits onsite in Austin, TX
The Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Systems Engineer to join the Automation Technology Group. In this role, you will design, build, test, and commission mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems that enable automation and operational excellence across our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the Technical Program Manager, Engineering Manager, and cross‑functional partners to bring automation concepts from design through deployment. This is a hands‑on role — you'll spend approximately 30–40% of your time in CAD and 60–70% on the shop floor building, prototyping, integrating, and troubleshooting the systems you design.
We're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of design engineering and practical implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 4–8 years of experience in mechanical design and hands‑on system integration, preferably in an automation, capital equipment, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Siemens NX and/or Solid Works for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
