Geotechnical Engineer

Geotechnical Engineer - Austin, TX - 12-Month Contract

Andersen James Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy in Austin, Texas on an initial 12-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on a variety of major infrastructure and land development projects, supporting geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and construction activities.

• Carry out geotechnical engineering assessments and technical reporting.
• Interpret ground investigation data and provide engineering recommendations.
• Support foundation design, earthworks, and slope stability assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Provide technical support during construction and attend site visits when required.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong experience with geotechnical investigations and report writing.
• Knowledge of foundation engineering, earthworks, and geotechnical analysis.
• PE licence or EIT status is advantageous but not essential.
• Full US work authorisation.
