The Sr. EHS Manager will create, implement and monitor EHS strategies and programs to promote a safe and healthy workplace for Sky Water TX employees. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state and federal legislation, identifying EHS related risks and resulting mitigations, and ensuring a positive safety culture.

• Responsible for development and implementation of the Environmental (ISO
  14001) and Health & Safety (ISO
  45001) Management System, policies, processes, and prevention initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and all related agency communication
• Provide site level representation with third parties, including neighboring businesses, local councils, and regulatory bodies including OSHA and the environment agencies
• Establish EHS objectives, goals, strategies, and key performance indicators in conjunction with affected business groups
• Develop and manage the EHS team, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT)

• 7+ years’ experience managing EHS programs, including people management experience
• EHS experience in chemically intensive manufacturing industry
• Experience in environmental management, permit and regulatory compliance including Air, Water and Waste
• Technical experience in occupational health and safety with a strong emphasis in chemical safety/compatibility
• Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions, including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements
• Strong ability to negotiate and manage people, equipment, and process changes relative to EHS
• Ability to build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives with a focus on measurable results
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point)
