Dynamic Systems, Inc. seeks a Pipe Stress, Hydraulic & CFD Engineer to support complex HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects for data centers, healthcare, industrial, and commercial facilities. In the Engineering & Design department, you will perform pipe stress analysis, hydraulic modeling, and CFD simulations to optimize flow, thermal performance, and system reliability. Responsibilities include preparing calculations and reports, collaborating with project managers and field teams, and ensuring code-compliant, constructible designs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe stress analyses for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems using industry software
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and pump/system sizing for complex mechanical systems
  • Execute CFD simulations to evaluate flow, thermal performance, and system behavior
  • Support design-build engineering for data centers, healthcare, industrial, and commercial projects
  • Prepare calculation packages, reports, and documentation for submittals and clients
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and field teams to optimize constructible solutions
  • Ensure designs comply with ASME, ASHRAE, building codes, and client specifications
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and risk/safety assessments
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, standards development, and mentoring of junior staff

Required Skills

  • Pipe stress analysis (e.g., CAESAR II, Auto
  • PIPE or similar)
  • Hydraulic modeling and pump/system sizing
  • CFD simulation (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, CFX, or similar)
  • Mechanical/piping system design for HVAC and process piping
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and relevant piping standards
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE and mechanical building codes3
  • D modeling/review with BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks)
  • Data center, healthcare, or industrial mechanical systems
  • Technical report writing and engineering documentation
  • Interdisciplinary coordination and constructability review
