Dynamic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer I to support mechanical and process system design for large-scale HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects in data centers, healthcare, industrial, and commercial facilities. In this entry-level role, you will prepare drawings, models, and calculations, assist with equipment selection and layouts, and help coordinate with field teams in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You'll contribute to design-build documentation, support site visits, and collaborate across disciplines while developing your technical skills and building a long-term career with a leading national contractor.
Responsibilities
- Support mechanical and process system design for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping on construction projects
- Prepare drawings, models, and calculations under supervision of senior engineers
- Assist with coordination between design, field installation, and subcontractors
- Perform basic load calculations, equipment selection, and layout details
- Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent
- Support site visits, field measurements, and issue resolution during construction
- Contribute to design-build documentation, specifications, and as-builts
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to meet schedule, quality, and safety goals
Required Skills
- HVAC system design fundamentals
- Plumbing and process piping design basics
- Auto
- CADRevit MEP or similar BIM tools
- Load calculations and equipment selection
- Reading and creating construction drawings
- Mechanical codes and ASHRAE standards familiarity
