What You'll Do

Build technologies that power the future of computing. As a Silicon Hardware Engineering Intern, you'll work on meaningful projects while building technical expertise that accelerates your professional growth.

Silicon architecture, circuit design, logic, layout, physical design, verification, validation, and debug.

Design, build, test, and analyze technologies at the core of Intel processors and platforms.

Use scripting, data analysis, and hardware validation methods to solve technical problems.

Collaborate across silicon, product, and manufacturing teams.

Contribute to innovations in processors, GPUs, SoCs, photonics, and validation systems.

Develop technical depth, tackle complex challenges, and contribute from day one while learning alongside experienced Intel engineers and technical leaders.

Qualifications:

Must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Experience may be gained through coursework, research, academic projects, internships, laboratory work, student organizations, leadership experiences, or other relevant experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.
  • 3+ months of experience gained through coursework, academic projects, research, internships, co-ops, student organizations, assistantships, or other relevant technical experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Experience or interest in design, architecture, programming, scripting, data analysis, automation, modeling, simulation, validation, or debugging.
  • Hands-on coursework, research, projects, or internship experience related to the role family.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ability to work in team-based environments.
