Summaryof Role:
Based in Austin, Texas, the Automotive End Market team is seeking an engineering student with an interest in business management to help define strategy in this critical market. The intern will assess market opportunities and define requirements that guide the development of differentiated solutions.
EssentialResponsibilities include:
- Analyze potential opportunities, including market size, the competitive landscape, and target customers.
- Create market requirements for opportunities in the automotive end market that will differentiate GF’s solutions.
- Develop and maintain business plans for potential market opportunities, including revenue forecasts and product pricing.
- Support analysis of research and development and capital investment requirements for potential market opportunities.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Language Fluency
- English (Written & Verbal) - Travel
- Up to 10% - Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- IC design or systems engineering experience in RF, power, or silicon photonics preferred.
- Experience with Excel or similar data analysis software.
