Sr. Project Manager, Civil Engineering

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to help lead site and land-development projects in Austin.

This position is responsible for technical design, permitting, project delivery, client management and business development. The ideal candidate has strong local site and civil engineering experience and can manage projects from initial concept through final completion.

• Lead the planning, design and permitting of land-development and infrastructure projects
• Manage projects involving commercial, residential, institutional, mixed-use and warehouse or distribution developments
• Oversee site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, infrastructure and erosion-control design
• Lead stormwater-management design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and SWPPP preparation
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, permitting agencies and internal technical teams
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing and deliverables
• Integrate civil design with geotechnical and environmental engineering requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff
• Prepare proposals, technical reports and other project documentation
• Develop new client relationships while maintaining and expanding existing accounts
• Support the continued growth of the Austin operation

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years of site and civil engineering experience focused on land development
• Active Professional Engineer license required
• Experience managing both small and large projects from concept through completion
• Strong technical knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management and site infrastructure
• Proven client-management and business-development capabilities
• AutoCAD or Civil 3D proficiency preferred
  
  Experience preparing technical documents and project proposals
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits
