Civil Engineering Project Manager, Public Infrastructure, Austin, TX

Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to be a Project Manager on our growing Public Infrastructure team based out of our North Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of public infrastructure design experience in the consulting industry or experience working with, or for, public sector clients. Municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design experience required.

• This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects, including: municipal roadways, trails, and drainage improvements.
• Manage infrastructure projects from planning through delivery, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, stakeholder coordination, and overall project performance.
• Support in preparation of proposals and RFQs.
• Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and Halff requirements and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
• Apply technical expertise appropriately by understanding project specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage design and plan production.
• Manage client relationships while supervising, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to engineers, EIT's, and technical staff.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure, municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design projects
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D
• Strong design experience with the ability to manage design teams, plan production, and project delivery; project management experience and knowledge of working with local agencies preferred.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships, supervise technical staff, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience supporting public sector clients and business development efforts is a plus.
• Experience with project scoping, fee development, and project staffing is a plus.
