Senior Project Manager

Overview

We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis seeks an energetic, highly motivated individual to lead ITS PS&E projects for our Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority client and the ITS and Traffic Engineering team in the Austin area. The position is hybrid and based out of the CTRMA office. AtkinsRéalis is at the forefront of some of the most exciting ITS and traffic engineering work being delivered in the country—from cutting‑edge ITS deployments and advanced traffic signal systems to innovative safety and mobility studies.

Our multidisciplinary team collaborates across regions, bringing forward‑thinking solutions to transportation agencies and shaping the future of mobility throughout the U.S.

• Lead and manage ITS and Traffic Engineering design tasks or projects for CTRMA.
• Independently develop and manage project work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Takes corrective actions as necessary.
• Actively manage project budgets and profitability.
• Analyze financial reports and ensure timely billing and collections.
• Serve as the primary point of contact on assigned projects.
• Draft routine contract addenda and change orders for review by senior management.
• Direct and coordinate the work of the project team.
• Provide informal guidance to Associate PMs and technical staff.
• Serve as technical lead on a range of ITS and Traffic Engineering assignments, including:
  • ITS and connected vehicle system design.
  • Dynamic Message Signs.
  • CCTV cameras.
  • Preparation and technical oversight of plans, specifications, and cost estimate (PS&E) packages.

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience since B.S. (or 9+ since M.S.).
• P.E. license required.
• Strong technical writing, computer, and communication skills.
• Experience with traffic engineering software such as HCS, Synchro/Sim‑Traffic, Vissim preferred.
• Open Roads experience required;
  AutoCAD experience preferred.

Expected compensation range is between $145,000–215,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
