AWS is hiring a Product Design Engineer (focused on tooling and analytics) for the Product Engineering team. The Product & Services team is a part of a global engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation of products used within our rapidly expanding data center foot print. This position can be based out of Seattle WA, Herndon VA, Austin TX, Columbus OH or Atlanta GA.

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer with hands on experience in change management, data analytics, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications where critical product design information is stored and maintained.

Experience with mechanical equipment such as Adiabatic Dry Coolers (ADACs), Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), and similar equipment. If you understand product design, manufacturing, have CAD drafting experience, you can manage data in a PLM system and develop an engineering change management program, then you will be a good fit. You will be an integral part of our design development process and will focus on establishing and maintaining processes around design changes, capturing metrics, and preparing reports, tracking KPIs, and constantly focused on continuous improvement.

You will also collaborate with and support our contract manufacturers and other key business partners for the manufacturing of products. Also as part of the design development process, you will work with other engineers on the team to provide innovative upgrades and improvements to existing and next generational designs based on analysis of data captured through the mechanisms you create and maintain.
