Hire is recruiting a Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of platforms that combine high-speed networking, powerful compute, and FPGA resources.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer and team leader to influence product direction and own development from architecture through production.

• Lead the full hardware development lifecycle, from initial architecture to production release.
• Manage and mentor hardware, mechanical, and ECAD engineers.
• Drive PCB design decisions involving high-speed signal integrity, stackups, materials, and EMC compliance.
• Collaborate with product management, RTL, software, compliance, and manufacturing teams.
• Help manage OEM relationships and support component and subsystem qualification.
• Improve manufacturing yields and resolve sustaining engineering challenges.
• Shape architecture and roadmap decisions for future platforms.

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and bringing computer networking equipment to production.
• Strong people management and team development skills.
• Expertise in high-speed signal integrity, PCB stackups, and materials selection.
• Experience with EMC design and resolving compliance issues.
• A background working with high-performance processors, embedded platforms, and FPGA-based hardware.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.

• FPGA RTL coordination or hardware co-design.
• OEM vendor management and manufacturing yield optimization.
• Network TAPs, packet brokers, or network visibility appliances.
