About the job Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project ManagerLocation: Austin, TX
Duration: Full-time
The client is seeking a technically competent and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for immediate hire in our Austin, TX office. As a subject matter expert in water and wastewater engineering, you will lead teams, plan, analyze, and design projects for municipalities across Central Texas.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of water and wastewater pipelines, force mains, pump stations, lift stations, treatment plants, water supply systems, and solids handling facilities.
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits for preliminary and final designs.
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets while overseeing design, QA/QC, and project workloads.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
- Coordinate design drawings with the CAD team.
- Maintain regular communication with clientele and project team members, including conducting regular project meetings.
- Work with the marketing team to pursue opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and support business development efforts.
- Collaborate with the financial team on fee proposals, project forecasting, reporting, and invoicing.
- Perform equipment evaluations and develop technical reports.
- Light travel, primarily between Austin and San Antonio, as project needs arise.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Licensed PE in the State of Texas for at least 3 years.
- Minimum 12 years of technical experience, with 5+ years in project management.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to take projects from start to successful completion.
