We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative Austin-based team with the backing, mentoring, and resources of a global organization. This role supports precision solar measurement products, including RD300i, Mars, and Cell Wash, and is ideal for an electrical engineer who enjoys hands‑on product ownership from concept and PCB design through bring‑up, validation, NPI, production support, and sustainment.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position in Austin, Texas.
- Design and improve mixed‑signal and embedded electronic hardware, including schematic capture, PCB design, and layout review.
- Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to design, validate, and bring up devices, troubleshoot system‑level issues, and support reliable product performance.
- Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from ideation and prototypes to productization, manufacturing readiness, release, and ongoing sustainment.
- Partner with production, test, quality, and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues, support new product introduction, and drive lasting corrective actions.
- Work hands‑on in the lab with instrumentation, test setups, calibration methods, and troubleshooting tools to improve consistency, yield, and throughput.
- Support products designed for demanding field environments, including outdoor exposure, temperature variation, compliance needs, and customer‑site performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field, such as hardware engineering, computer engineering, physics, or computer science, with strong applied electrical engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands‑on electrical engineering or product hardware experience.
- Experience taking hardware from prototype through validation and into production or field support.
- Strong fundamentals in PCB design, schematics, analog/digital circuits, microcontrollers, and hardware/firmware interfaces; direct sensor experience is helpful but trainable.
- Confidence using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, soldering, and rework tools.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain electrical engineering concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences, and a collaborative approach aligned with Veralto’s focus on inclusion, belonging, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Experience that would help you stand out:
Solar, renewable energy, meteorology, industrial instrumentation, outdoor or rugged electronics.
A close‑kit Austin team with the support, mentors, and expertise of Veralto’s global organization. Meaningful ownership across the full product lifecycle, from…
