Electrical Engineer, Power

As a Hardware Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, develop, and integrate innovative electrical systems for a wide range of applications, from next-generation consumer hardware to large-scale infrastructure. Electrical Engineer, Power Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and validate electrical subsystems or simple systems for Meta’s hardware products, with increasing independence

Create schematics, direct the board layout, and participate in design reviews

Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate new technologies and components

Support manufacturing builds, hardware bring-up, and troubleshooting activities

Collaborate across engineering disciplines (mechanical, firmware, software, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions

Document requirements, specifications, and test criteria for modules and systems

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical performance and reliability issues

Demonstrate sustained self-driven productivity and ownership of assigned areas

Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and contribute to team-level goals

Participate in process improvement, knowledge sharing, and organizational activities as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience2+ years of professional experience in electrical design or a relevant technical field

Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and circuit and/or system design

Experience with schematic and board design using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence Orcad, Altium)
Hands-on experience with lab equipment and debugging hardware

Experience working with at least one of the following: digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC/PMIC, or battery management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with design and troubleshooting of power management interfaces (e.g. PMBus, AVS, SVID and SVI2)
Knowledge of using Linux for testing and automation/script development

Experience with power integrity evaluation

Experience with low voltage and high current power subsystems of CPU, GPU, SoC, ASIC and/or FPGA, and related schematic and PCB design

Familiar with defining specification and validation of power connectors, cable assemblies and fuses

Familiar with NPI hardware design and deployment cycle

Familiar with power delivery architecture of one major CPU supplier

Experience with development of test automation for power validation

Experience with end-to-end power delivery network design, simulation (e.g. SIMPLIS, Sigrity PowerDC/SI, ANSYS SIWave or equivalent) and board level correlation
