Vice President, Monetization

Overview

Sci Play is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free‑to‑play games. We currently offer nine core games across social casino and casual genres.

• Serve as strategic monetization authority across all US game titles.
• Develop a cross‑portfolio monetization philosophy that balances revenue growth with player experience.
• Identify cross‑game trends and opportunities for pricing, promotional cadences, and live ops.
• Stay ahead of competitive landscape shifts and emerging monetization models in free‑to‑play and social casino gaming.
• Act as embedded partner to game‑level monetization directors and leads, guiding store design, event scheduling, economy balance, and VIP programming.
• Lead regular monetization reviews, identifying gaps, risks and growth levers.
• Build and maintain a monetization playbook and shared library of strategies, templates and frameworks.
• Mentor and develop monetization talent across the organization.
• Champion analytics‑led approach, partner with Analytics to develop reporting standards and dashboards.
• Review and challenge revenue forecasts, A/B testing frameworks and performance analyses.
• Synthesize portfolio‑level insights for senior leadership on monetization health, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Product, Design, Economy, Marketing and Customer Support leaders.
• Represent monetization in senior leadership discussions, balancing short‑term revenue needs with long‑term retention.
• Continuously evaluate new monetization mechanics and models, piloting with game teams.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Game Development or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in monetization, live operations or product management in the gaming industry; preference for free‑to‑play or social casino experience.
• Proven track record leading or consulting on monetization strategy across multiple titles or at portfolio level.
• Strong analytical thinker who uses data to drive decisions and translates complex performance data into strategic direction.
• Deep expertise in free‑to‑play business models, player lifecycle economics, pricing strategies and live ops.
• Experienced cross‑functional collaborator capable of building trust and influencing product, analytics, design and marketing teams.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels.

• Experience across multiple game genres or titles simultaneously.
• Familiarity with predictive modeling, LTV forecasting and game economy design.
• Proficiency with data tools such as Tableau, SQL or similar analytics platforms.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, influencing executive stakeholders and game‑level teams.
• Experience building or scaling a monetization function, center of excellence or shared services team.
