The PositionOur client is seeking a Bank Lending Compliance Officer in the greater Austin, TX area. This role involves performing quality control reviews, analyzing and reporting on all bank regulations across all business lines to identify compliance weaknesses. The officer will ensure that the bank’s products and operations comply with all applicable state, federal, and other regulations.
This position offers a salary of up to $90K and an attractive benefits package. (

This is not a remote position.)
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development of the Compliance Program, focusing on BSA, Security, and Internal Audit procedures and policies, including loan file audits, security, and cash.
- Researching federal and state banking laws and regulations, reviewing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance.
- Maintaining a risk-based compliance monitoring program and providing reports to the Board of Directors.
- Developing disclosures and procedures for new products and services to meet regulatory standards.
- Supervising records retention and disposal policies.
- Creating and delivering training modules, ensuring all bank personnel receive appropriate regulatory training.
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries related to compliance.
- Serving as a resource for compliance issues across various bank activities, including lending, deposits, and marketing.
- Staying informed on money laundering and terrorist financing issues, policies, regulations, and industry trends.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- At least two years of experience in legal/regulatory banking compliance or related fields.
- Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
- Ability to recommend solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience discussing compliance issues with staff at all levels.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with complex database systems.
