About the Role
Global Billing Manager – responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for the company’s billing cycle to maximize cash flow while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relations across regions. Oversees day‑to‑day operations of billing cycle from project set up through project close, accounts receivables, and unbilled projects. Provides analysis to improve billing velocity and is highly visible, leading a global billing team.
Responsibilities- Supervise regional billing team(s) and guide day‑to‑day operations.
- Review the set‑up of new projects and modifications to bookings.
- Provide quality‑control review of invoices for adherence to client requirements.
- Resolve complex billing issues.
- Develop and implement new processes and improvements to key billing functions.
- Provide collections support to credit and collections and project managers.
- Coach, develop and lead direct reports, driving continuous improvement and achievement of collection goals.
- Assist with month‑end close process by reviewing AR reporting and executing AR Module Close.
- Provide billing reporting and analysis of key project metrics.
- Maintain AR policies, training materials and departmental standards.
- Coordinate with senior finance staff to enhance professional development opportunities.
- Assist with extending electronic invoicing and routing system across the company.
- Provide support for annual audits and tax filings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field (desired).
- Minimum of seven years of progressive finance, analysis and leadership experience, with at least three years of direct supervisory experience.
- Prior experience with Oracle or other project‑based ERP system (preferred).
- Experience with Rev Pro and/or Blackline (preferred).
- Experience in implementing process improvements using continuous improvement or other tools.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, detail oriented.
- Comfortable presenting information to all levels of the company.
- Track record of improving process efficiencies and solving problems.
