You will play a critical role in assessing clients’ financial situations, developing actionable debt repayment strategies, and helping clients regain control of their financial futures. Key Responsibilities- Calculate clients’ available monthly income to determine their capacity for meeting debt obligations and recommend suitable repayment options.
- Clearly explain debt management program rules, service advantages and disadvantages, creditor concession policies, and potential outcomes to clients.
- Develop customized debt management plans, spending plans, and budgets to guide clients toward their short- and long-term financial goals.
- Prioritize client debt repayment strategies to minimize risks such as bankruptcy, foreclosure, or high interest expenses.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ financial situations by reviewing incomes, assets, debts, expenses, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and financial plans while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and creditors to negotiate terms and clarify financial options, placing emphasis on clear written and verbal interactions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to explain complex financial concepts in accessible terms.
- Demonstrated experience in financial counseling, debt management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and developing comprehensive budgets or repayment plans.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple client cases concurrently.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
- Empathetic, patient, and committed to client success and privacy.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with commitment to continuous professional development.
- Certification in credit counseling, financial planning, or a related area.
- Experience working with a diverse clientele on complex debt issues.
- Familiarity with industry compliance standards and consumer protection regulations.
