Salary $80,000 - $115,000 per year

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a dynamic and challenging role? Our company, a leading entity in the energy industry, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growth and success while expanding your career in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in the energy industry, and a proven track record of managing complex financial tasks.

• Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of contract summaries, ensuring all relevant financial data is accurately recorded and updated.
• Managing the application of ASC 606 to customer contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Maintaining deferred revenue schedules, ensuring all revenue is accurately accounted for and reported.
• Preparing price volume analysis and fluctuation analysis by asset, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making.
• Ensuring the efficient operation of our Net Suite system, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Collaborating with other members of the finance team to develop and implement strategies to optimize our financial operations.
• Performing various other accounting duties as required, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a strong attention to detail.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA tracking.
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting or focused on revenue accounting.
• Prior experience in the energy industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Net Suite or similar accounting software is required.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to customer contracts.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to prepare complex financial analyses and reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• A high degree of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
