Sage is seeking a Controller to serve as a strategic finance partner to leadership during a period of growth. This role is ideal for a Financial Controller with strong experience in GAAP accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, who wants broader visibility and meaningful impact.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will oversee accounting operations, regulatory reporting, payroll, and financial close processes, while helping scale systems, improve controls, and support budgeting and forecasting (FP&A) initiatives.

• Own and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and client billing.
• Prepare financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis for leadership.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, & financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, tax filings, and audit support at the federal and state level.
• Administer payroll, compensation reporting, and employee benefit programs.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and scalability across finance operations.

• 3+ years as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager in financial services or similar environments.
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working directly with financial data and reconciliations.
