Sr. Accountant

Description

A growing organization is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to support month‑end close, financial reporting, and day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple business units. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working cross‑functionally, and has experience managing financials for multi‑location or multi‑entity structures.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead month‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.

+ Prepare and maintain financial statements for multiple units/entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency across locations.

+ Support consolidation processes and assist with intercompany transactions.

+ Analyze trends, P& L performance, and balance sheet activity across business units; identify risks and opportunities.

+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure adherence to GAAP.

+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting by providing unit‑level financial insights.

+ Partner with operations and leadership to explain financial results and answer entity‑specific questions.

+ Support external audits through preparation of schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.

+ Drive process improvements to streamline accounting workflows across units.

+ Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and scaling initiatives as the company grows.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred but not required).

+ 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi‑unit, multi‑entity, or decentralized environment.

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes.

+

Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, etc.

- customizable based on client).

+ Advanced Excel skills; comfort with large data sets and complex reconciliations.

+ Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
