Position Overview:

As a Financial Analyst supporting RDC’s Core products, you will play a critical role in building the financial foundation for this business, partnering with senior leaders to guide strategy, assess investment opportunities, and drive operational excellence.

This role is a dynamic blend of ownership and growth, offering a unique "seat at the table" for core operations and a "look under the hood" at complex financial modeling. You will serve as the primary financial steward for our Core Business expense budgets while simultaneously acting as a key partner to the FP&A team. Through reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting of expenses, you will help drive products that are the heartbeat of everything RDC.

What You’ll DoBudget Ownership & Management
  • Expense Control: Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for all Core Business operating expenses.
  • Variance Analysis: Identify, investigate, and explain variances between actual spend and budget/forecast.
  • Budget Integrity: Partner with department heads to ensure spend aligns with strategic priorities and remains within approved limits.
Forecasting & Strategic Reporting
  • Rolling Forecasts: Maintain and update monthly/quarterly expense forecasts to provide leadership with a "real-time" view of the financial landscape.
  • Monthly Performance Packages: Develop and present clear, concise reporting packages that highlight key financial trends and risks.
  • Business Partnership: Facilitate regular meetings with Core Business leaders to review financial results and provide actionable insights.
FP&A Support & Development
  • Cross-Functional Reporting: Assist Senior FP&A Analysts with consolidated reporting and ad-hoc financial requests.
  • Modeling Mentorship: Gain exposure to corporate financial models; you will assist in updating drivers and assumptions to learn the mechanics of revenue and margin forecasting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks to increase team efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills with the ability to distill insights from ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Sumifs, and basic modeling logic).
  • ERP/Reporting Tools:
    Experience with systems like Oracle, SAP, Adaptive Insights, or Net Suite is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance detail orientation with big-picture strategic thinking.
  • Experience with investment analysis, resource allocation, and/or scenario planning.
