Pellegrin Health Group Management is a newly established Management Services Organization (MSO) focused on supporting healthcare practices in delivering exceptional patient care while optimizing operational and financial performance. We are currently in the funding stage and building our foundational team to scale a transformative healthcare management platform.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Finance Director to join our founding team and serve as our lead financial strategist and operator. This is a unique opportunity to build financial infrastructure from the ground up, grow into an executive finance role, and earn significant equity in a high-growth healthcare venture.

As our Finance Director, you will own all aspects of financial management, from day-to-day accounting and financial reporting to fundraising support and strategic planning. This role offers the scope and responsibility of a CFO position while providing the opportunity to develop your executive leadership skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Operations
  • Establish and maintain accounting systems, financial controls, and reporting frameworks
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Build financial models and projections for investor presentations
  • Prepare pitch materials and financial documentation for funding rounds
  • Support due diligence processes with potential investors
  • Assist leadership with investor relations and capital strategy
  • Manage cash flow planning and capital allocation
Healthcare Finance Expertise
  • Apply knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models (fee-for-service, value-based care, capitation)
  • Monitor revenue cycle management and collection optimization
  • Analyze payer mix and reimbursement rates
  • Track healthcare-specific financial metrics (days in A/R, collection rates, net revenue)
  • Support payer contracting financial analysis
Compliance & Regulatory
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations (Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, etc.)
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
  • Stay current on healthcare finance regulatory changes
  • Support tax planning and compliance activities
Strategic Analysis
  • Provide financial insights to inform business development decisions
  • Conduct financial analysis for potential practice acquisitions or partnerships
  • Build financial models for scenario planning and growth strategies
  • Support pricing strategies for MSO service offerings
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
  • Grow into expanded executive responsibilities as the company scales
  • Eventually build and lead a finance and accounting team
  • Develop into the CFO or VP Finance role as organizational needs evolve
  • Contribute to strategic planning and executive decision-making
Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Required)
  • MBA (Required) - or CPA/CMA with equivalent business acumen
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in roles of increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years of experience in the MSO or healthcare services space (direct MSO experience highly preferred)
  • Experience in a senior finance role such as Controller, Finance Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, or Finance Director
  • Hands-on experience with financial operations, not just oversight
  • Track record of building or improving financial processes and systems
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle management
  • Experience with accounting software (Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Merger and acquisition (M&A) experience - due diligence, financial analysis, or integration support
  • Startup or early-stage company experience
  • Experience supporting fundraising efforts or investor relations
  • Exposure to value-based care models and alternative payment arrangements
