Senior Payroll Analyst – Austin, Texas

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Payroll Analyst to independently process multi‑state payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. The role serves as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex payroll issues and works closely with HR, Finance, IT, and third‑party vendors.

• Process weekly and biweekly multi‑state payroll for exempt and non‑exempt employees.
• Prepare and upload large payroll files in Workday or ADP.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records with strict confidentiality.
• Audit payroll data and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
• Research and implement payroll tax and compliance requirements.
• Serve as payroll subject matter expert, collaborating cross‑functionally and driving process improvements.

• 3–5 years of payroll analyst experience, including hands‑on payroll processing.
• Certification preferred:
  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business – required.
• Proven experience using Workday or ADP payroll systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Target compensation: $85,000 per year. Salary range $69,300 – $103,900 (USD) based on experience, skills, and market data.
