The Senior Loan Processor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and timely loan approvals by leveraging deep expertise in Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loans and proactive borrower engagement. This individual is highly organized, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will own the processing workflow from start to finish — ensuring files are complete and ready for underwriting to achieve on-time closings.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage a high-volume pipeline of loans with a focus on DSCR and Bridge loan structures and requirements.
- Proactively engage borrowers via phone, email, and text to collect documentation early and resolve potential issues before underwriting.
- Ensure file completeness by reviewing and validating all required documents, setting each loan up for success in underwriting.
- Coordinate all steps in the loan process, maintaining strict adherence to timelines from processing through approval.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, title agents, insurance providers, and internal teams to drive clear underwriting decisions.
- Accurately input and maintain key loan data in operating systems; research and resolve discrepancies using internal tools and public resources.
- Deliver an exceptional borrower experience, including an initial welcome call and ongoing support throughout the process.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of loan processing experience.
- Strong understanding of underwriting requirements and documentation standards for DSCR and other hard money lending products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems resourcefully, and manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems.
- U.S. work authorization required.
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs. The role is primarily office-based with up to 5% travel.
