Position Overview

Victory Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Controller or Senior Controller to join our growing team. This is a client-facing, high-impact role responsible for overseeing accounting operationsandfinancial reportingforclients. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in financial services or a consulting environment andpossessesthe technical depth and leadership presence to manage a team—including offshore resources—while building trusted relationships with clients across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and deliveraccuratemonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with

    U.S. GAAP
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls frameworks and accounting policies
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators as needed
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building andmaintainingtrusted long-term relationships
  • Proactivelyidentifyand communicate financial risks, opportunities, and insights to client stakeholders
  • Lead client meetings, deliver financial presentations, and respond to ad hoc analytical requests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and exceed client expectations
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings that meet evolving client needs
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals including onshore staff and offshore resources
  • Establish clear workflows, quality standards, and performance expectations across the team
  • Manage workload allocation and ensure deadlines are consistently met across all client engagements
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical accounting issues raised by team members
Technology & Process Improvement
  • Champion the adoption of accounting technologies and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Evaluate and implement best-practice processes for financial close, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Support data integrity across financial systems and integration with client platforms
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
  • Experience in a financial services consulting firm or similar professional services environment
  • Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience managing teams, including remote or offshore accounting resources
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships in a consulting or advisory context
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications Broker-Dealeror

RIA Experience
  • Prior experience working within or serving a broker-dealer, Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), asset manager, or investment fund
  • Knowledge of investment management fee structures, expense allocations, and RIA billing operations
  • Experience with portfolio accounting or fund administration systems (e.g., Advent, Orion, Black Diamond, Juniper)
Additional Preferred Skills
  • CPA license (active) or equivalent professional designation
  • Prior experience at a consulting firm with a financial services client base
  • Proficiency with accounting platforms such asNetSuite, Sage Intacct,Microsoft Dynamicsor similar
