Vice President of Accounting

Summary

A private equity-backed industrial services organization is seeking a Vice President of Finance & Accounting to partner closely with the CFO during a period of rapid growth and acquisition activity. This leader will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and finance transformation, with a strong focus on building scalable processes, improving systems, and supporting M&A integration across a multi-entity environment.

• Lead accounting operations, monthly close, and consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, cost accounting, intercompany transactions, and other complex accounting matters.
• Drive M&A integration efforts, including aligning accounting policies, standardizing reporting, and supporting purchase accounting and post-acquisition integration activities.
• Support international finance operations, including multi-currency consolidation, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing in coordination with external advisors.
• Lead ERP optimization and broader finance transformation initiatives to improve close, consolidation, reporting, and automation across the organization.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and support annual audits, quarterly reviews, and coordination with tax and compliance advisors.
• Partner closely with the CFO and work cross-functionally with finance teams to standardize processes and strengthen financial controls across a growing organization.

• 15+ years of accounting and finance experience
• CPA required (Big 4 strongly preferred)
• Strong technical accounting background (U.S. GAAP, consolidations, revenue recognition)
• Experience leading audits and working with external auditors
• ERP and finance systems experience (Net Suite preferred)
• M&A integration experience in multi-entity environments
• Exposure to international accounting (intercompany, transfer pricing, multi-currency)
• Experience in PE-backed or high-growth organizations strongly preferred
• Comfortable operating in a hands‑on, build‑and‑scale environment
