Leveraged Finance Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a finance associate with expertise in Fund Finance and Private Credit transactions to join its Leveraged Finance subgroup in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in fund finance, private credit, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, and/or structured finance.

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy
• Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts
• Assist in managing complex cases and transactions from inception to resolution
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional support and advice
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative case strategies
• Participate in high-level legal activities such as court hearings and negotiations
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents
• Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills
• Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work

• Minimum of four years of experience in leveraged finance
• Experience with AmLaw 100 firm preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
• Good business and professional judgment
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently

JD degree from an accredited law school.

Admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
