Job DescriptionAs Director of Investor Relations, you will be a key member of the team responsible for planning and implementing a first‑class program of engagement with current and prospective owners of Wise. You’ll contribute to the mission of bringing money without borders, increasing the understanding and conviction in our mission among retail and institutional owners. You’ll lead within the Finance team, mentoring others and serving as an expert in communication, financial information, and the payments sector.
YourMission
Reporting to the Senior Director of Investor Relations, and working collaboratively with the rest of the "Owner Relations" team, you’ll be responsible for Wise’s approach to and application of a strategy of engagement with the public markets, particularly focused on the US market.
Essential Duties- Lead conversations with analysts and investors to nurture a sound understanding and support of our mission.
- Work with senior leaders to shape the story of Wise, underpinning this with relevant key messages and disclosure of strategic, operational and financial information.
- Collaborate on the design and production of effective publications and presentations for periodic reporting to the market.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with the sell‑side analyst community, actively managing expectations to keep market consensus relevant to performance and guidance.
- Undertake an investor engagement program from proactive targeting to executing a schedule of meetings via Zoom or in person.
- Contribute to the development of the Investor Relations website to keep it current and informative for investors and other stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of ESG reporting and incorporate best practice into the overall company narrative.
- Explain share‑price movements to senior management as required.
- Manage relationships with the financial advisors of Wise, involving them early and effectively in discussions related to Wise’s ownership and status as a listed company.
- 8+ years of directly related experience in Investor Relations.
- Prior experience working in Investor Relations for a US publicly listed corporate or as an equity analyst at a top‑tier bank.
- Deep and extensive knowledge of US investors and the wider capital markets.
- Experience in leading people and creating a compelling narrative.
- Strong communication skills; ability to listen to and understand audiences within and outside the organisation, and communicate insights clearly and structuredly orally and in writing.
- Excellent financial modelling skills.
- Experience managing time‑critical processes across multiple stakeholders and a track record of delivering on time.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and to simplify complex, fuzzy problems into simple solutions.
- Experience with in payments or fintech.
