Amazon Business is hiring a Finance Manager to support the Worldwide Small Business team. The role will partner with key business leaders to identify opportunities to drive growth, provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership. You will lead finance activities, create scalable reporting mechanisms and analysis, and build new frameworks required to grow Small Business spend.
Key Job Responsibilities- Serve as the Finance Business Partner to the Small Business customer segment and partner with key stakeholders across the US, EU, and JP.
- Solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, business insights, and recommendations that drive improvements and influence leaders.
- Own customer acquisition and engagement mechanisms within Worldwide Small Business Finance.
- Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data‑driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives.
- Perform financial reporting, ad‑hoc data analysis, and financial modeling using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Cognos.
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 5+ years of leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and interpreting results.
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel.
