Senior Relationship Banker
SummaryResponsible for all customer service duties, sales, and relationship management while consistently exceeding established goals. Master the bank delivery process and product knowledge to develop customer relationships by performing the following essential duties.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Master and perform the primary purpose and essential duties of the Teller, Relationship Banker I, and Relationship Banker II positions.
- Maintain expert level knowledge of all bank products, services, procedures, policies, and applicable regulatory issues including the Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, Fair Lending, Regulation E, and deposit, transaction, and loan account controls.
- Serve as subject matter expert for customer organizational structure, documentation, and the relationship onboarding process.
- Assess and review risk tolerance (CDD, EDD, BSA, AML) for all customers and collaborate with BSA as needed.
- Coordinate branch monthly, quarterly, and annual audits to ensure operational compliance is maintained by employees.
- Lead by example and act as a role model for Tellers and Relationship Bankers I and II.
- Mentor, coach, and train staff on the retail banking customer delivery process.
- Collaborate with the Financial Center Manager on team meetings and huddles related to retail banking strategy and execution.
- Monitor and complete retail teller and banker compliance training, account exceptions, and employee onboarding training within assigned timelines.
- Serve as customers’ single point of contact for all bank products and services, identify and match customer product needs, and make referrals to other staff members and departments as necessary.
- Follow proper procedures accurately and efficiently for all customer‑servicing activities.
- Consistently exceed performance goals, actively participate in all sales campaigns, retain existing customers, develop new customer relationships, and participate in outbound calling efforts to increase bank relationships and business opportunities.
- Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
- Adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
- Dress professionally.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

Education and Work Experience- High School Diploma strongly preferred; some college strongly preferred.
- Required 3 years of banking experience or relatable business acumen.
- Cash handling experience is required.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Basic mathematics to solve problems; requires exactness or high accuracy.
- Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication with customers and co‑workers.
- Time‑management skills and ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Good judgment and decision‑making skills.
- Critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to identify solutions.
- Multi‑tasking ability.
- Professional attitude and appearance; ethical behavior in and out of work.
- Active listening: gives full attention, asks questions, seeks to understand others’ points of view.
