Core Wise's client is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing program management consulting services for major public infrastructure and capital improvement programs for public sector clients throughout Central Texas. The firm specializes in program controls, financial oversight, schedule enforcement, compliance, vendor management, and stakeholder communication for public infrastructure programs throughout Texas, with a mission focused on transforming how public infrastructure programs are managed through disciplined program controls and operational accountability — helping clients deliver infrastructure programs on time, within budget, and to public expectations while building a modern infrastructure consulting firm centered around discipline, focus, execution, and measurable results.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to support the internal financial management and operational growth of the firm. This leadership-track position is responsible for helping manage the financial foundation of a rapidly growing infrastructure program management consulting company overseeing more than 110 active infrastructure projects across Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process client invoices, subcontractor invoices, and internal expenses.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and internal summaries.
  • Manage payroll processing and reporting.
  • Maintain employee reimbursement and financial documentation.
  • Support contract administration and compliance tracking.
  • Monitor budgets, contract values, and vendor obligations.
  • Assist with audits, tax preparation, and corporate filings.
Who You Are

You are highly dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment. You are a strong communicator with sound professional judgement and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of finance, accounting, business operations, or financial management experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting proficiency.
  • Experience with payroll systems, invoicing, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Consulting, infrastructure, engineering, or construction industry experience preferred.
